I had read the book during my college days on the suggestion of a friend; I liked the book so much that I circulated it among my friends and a few family members. This is an important book, and a Must, for every Indian Muslim who is engaged in Islamic dawah (propagation of Islam) among non-Muslims. This book presents rational bases of Islamic belief system in an articulated and convincing way. I went through the comments of the other reviewers of this book; the comments are downright absurd and ridiculous. The author of this book, Abul Ala Maududi is considered the greatest Islamic thinker of the 20th. century, the author of some 120 small and large books, one of the most influential architects of Islamic revival in the modern world. There is not much controversy about him or his scholarly works in the Muslim world. He belongs to the main-stream Sunni Islam, belongs to the Muslim-orthodoxy. As there is always room for the differences in the policy matters, so these differences are minor and don’t amount much. There are no differences about the fundamentals of Islam among all the mujjadids (the great Scholars) of Islam to this date.
